it's Mark. Can't believe summer is almost over. Great videos!! I'm looking for severe weather to strike mostly likely on saturday. Two posts ago you talked about this coming winter, so i want to see which question you think is right. I read an article on accuweather that said that this winter will be like the 1970's. I also read somewhere else that it will be wet and warm. Which one do you think is right? This summer has been hot and dry hasn't it? We already have 5 or 6 100+ days. Usually we have 1 100+ day but that rarely happens. The storm we had this morning put on a light show at my house.Every storm we have had has been severe with heavy downpours. So, I have been busy all summer long in the weather world. Please comment back! Hope to talk to you soon. Hope you have a great rest of your summer. See you in a few weeks....
It is pretty far out but at this time I would say wet and warm because NAO looks like it is going to be positive for most of the winter and the drought causing string of high pressure systems don't seem to be letting up anytime soon.On the other side a severe weather pattern seems to be setting up over the southern plains, that would mean less high pressure systems moving through the plains.More than 66% of winters following hot summers are warmer than average themselves. We will see as fall comes to a start.
Mark here. Thats what i thought, that this winter will be warm and wet. you are right, we will just have to wait until fall to really pin point what the winter will be like. it is still a really long time. thank you for answering my question with such deph.
